Win free iPad from MySuperKids: The Audition Entry

Win free iPad from MySuperKids: The Audition Entry

I want and will read every entry from Blog Doa Buat Alanna. Yes, that is exactly what I’m going to do. But who is Alanna, why I want to read this blog and what is this blog all about? All the ”Wh’ question popping from everyone heads, right? But if you have read my first entry on My Blog Hopping Journey, you may have a little idea.

Who is Alanna?
Alanna Qish is the loving daughter of Ayu & Shahrul and a beautiful little sister to Nadime. She has big sparkling eyes with heart melting smile. ADORABLE is the perfect word to describe dear Alanna.

Why Doa Buat Alanna?
Alanna is sick. Her mother created the blog for her. She names it Doa Buat Alanna, hoping the ‘doa’ from each and every one of the reader reach Allah. Hoping Alanna will be able to get through the worst and rise again. But, Allah knows the best. Allah has a different plan for Alanna. The best for Alanna is to be with Him and not with her family. That is the plan.

About why I want and will read every entry from Doa Buat Alanna
When I started reads Doa Buat Alanna, she’s already in a good hand of Allah. I cried reading every single entry in the blog. It is indeed a heart wrenching blog. But, I don’t stop reading. The blog inspire me. Why?

I am a new mother. I get pregnant because my friend is pregnant. I am unprepared mother with no expectation. I have no idea that my life will turn upside down once I have a baby. Yes, I am that naïve. Please, laugh at me.

But, don’t get me wrong. Even with all those chaos of having a baby, I do LOVE my little Rara unconditionally. It is unquestionable. But, I have trouble readjusting my life as a mother. I lose temper easily and feels burden with my new role. I even ‘refuse’ to breastfeed, silly me. Oh no, I feel like a bad mother now writing this.

As I mentioned in my first entry, Doa Buat Alanna gets me back down to earth. The story of Alanna makes me appreciate my little Rara more. Every time I read Ayu’s entry, I feel like I have been reminded to be a good mother and stop whining! So, that is why I want and will read every entry from Doa Buat Alanna.

To Ayu, keep writing and be strong.
To Mommy Lynna from MySuperKids, let me get through the audition and win the iPad :-)

Lucky, I'm in love with my best friend

Hello peeps! Oh, I’m back. Back to normal life, normal routine and normal everything. Thank God for listening to my prayers. The worst has ended. Full stop.

Starting to enjoy my cup of coffee, again...

Well, today this “Lucky” song keeps playing in my head ever since I watch the Glee version on weekend. Even Pink Stilettos agrees with me! This is such a beautiful song. Soothing and relaxing :-)

I dedicate this song to all of you and wishing everyone has a great week ahead. Let’s roll the dice!

Lucky, Jason Mraz
Do you hear me? I'm talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying

Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ooh ooh ooh

They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I'll wait for you I promise you, I will

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again

Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair

Though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning 'round
You hold me right here, right now

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again

I'm lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

Errmm…I’m actually wanted to share the Sam & Quinn, Glee version from the YouTube. But, I don’t know how, poor me. I’m new blogger, remember? :-) So, I share the lyrics instead.

And..wanted to share a picture of this cute lil hamster too!

Pray hard, this is just temporary

Tomorrow, I’m supposed to take leave and bring my Rara to clinic for her routine check-up. But, I’ve been busy with work lately. Work, work and work. It's been about 2 years I've never been this busy. I would not say this is bad but I'm definitely won't miss it. I wish this is just temporary. Pray hard.

I guess Rara has to go with Papa Ril instead :-(

Sharing is Caring: How to install CommentLuv in Blogger

As I mention in this entry,  I have been trying to install CommentLuv function for a weeks ++ now. I don't know where is the mistake and what is wrong somewhere and somehow *sigh*

But, after the countless effort and attempt, I manage to install CommentLuv, yeay!!

So, let me share with you on how to install CommentLuv for Blogger user. Ermmm, I'm not going to write the steps-by-steps instruction but, I want to share this useful tutorial by Ileane from Basic Blog Tips. Her tutorial did help me, a lot! Generally, follows the steps below:

Step 1 - Go to Intense Debate website and create an account with them.
Intense Debate website

Step 2 - Refer to the tutorial by Ileane from Basic Blog Tips.

Step 3 - Activate the CommentLuv widget.

In the tutorial, it says that you can either choose to install the Intense Debate as a widget or right into your template. I have tried to install it as a widget but unsuccessful. I guess my template do not support the widget.

Thus, I install Intense Debate right into my template. Below are the instruction from Intense Debate website:

*Click for larger view*

Yes, the instruction is quite detail, but somehow I misunderstood Steps #5 and #6. I've got confused there. Let me explain further for those steps:

Steps 5 - Click Download Full Template and save the file somewhere convenient. (I thought this is for backup only, which is not! The saved file is actually for Step #6)

Step 6 - Select the file on your harddrive by clicking "Browse" below: (You have to click exactly on the "Choose File" button there, not the one at your blogger screen and "files on your harddrive" means the template you save in Step #5)

Then upload the file to us by clicking "Upload file" below. (Click the upload button there not in your blogger screen, don't get yourself confuse like me)

Am I making you even more confuse? Hopefully not. This is the best that I can do. I'm no expert too. Let's learn together, okay? Till then, bye!

Goodbye to pacifier, says my little Rara

" Goodbye to you my pacifier
We've known each other since I am a month old
Together we've climbed hills and tree
  Learned of love and ABC's
Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees "

*Shed tears & head straight*

Hello peeps. This is not a sad entry, don't worry J It should be a happy entry instead. Congratulation to my little Rara for manage to stay out of pacifier for 3 days! This is a big achievement for her. She started as early as 1 month old, which is during my confinement. Since then she stuck with it L

2010
We (Papa Ril & Me) have been trying to stop her from the pacifier since her 1st birthday. Errr...but, we don't really put any effort to make it successful. It's hard you know. Rara will crying endlessly if we refuse to give her the pacifier. So, we gave up.

2011
Then come 2011, Rara's 2nd birthday is approaching. Again, the urge to separate her from the pacifier came. We use garlic this time.

1st attempt was a success. She threw away her pacifier. 2nd attempt? Well, kids nowadays are smarter than we can ever imagine. She ask me to wash the pacifier *sigh*. Then, 3rd attempt, she just happily sucking the pacifier. I guess the garlic taste is not bothering her anymore. So, we failed.

Chinese New Year, 2011
Now, we are in my hometown spending 4 days in a row public holiday for CNY. Apart of our normal routine which is "makan-makan the whole day", my mom has another plan. She has been nagging me to stop the pacifier for so long! So, she do the trick. How?

The trick
As soon as we arrive, my mom took out the wheat flour from her kitchen cabinet. She pour it in a bowl and mix it with a little bit of water. Then...she put Rara's pink pacifier in the bowl.

The next time Rara ask for the pacifier, my mom shows the bowl to her with a gross face and screeching voice saying how dirty it is. Wonders happen! Rara actually believe it and refuse to even touch it! Yeay!

But, the actual challenge is during the night. I was nervous. I even preparing myself by taking a lot of coffee, so I can stay awake to entertain Rara's screaming and wailing. She always need her pacifier to sleep. Full stop.

Rara peaceful sleep

So, she did cries early that night, but she never ask for the pacifier. She just cry and cry for 15 minutes. Then, I bring the bowl to the bedroom and show it to her. She cries even louder! But for a minutes only. Then she manage to sleep! Err..but she wakes up again 1 hour later and we do the same thing again. But that's it. She sleeps soundly after that and the 2nd night also *big smile*

Is this the end of it? We do hope so. And we hope her babysitter will be able to continue the separation too this coming Monday. Please, please, please. I believe in you my little girl, you can do it!

Crisis in Mesir, Pray hard

I seldom read newspaper. I usually browse the news online. The recent crisis in Mesir took me by surprise. When I read the news little that I know the crisis has gotten worst day by day.

The other day, while browsing my favorite blog Baby Ibu, I find out more about the crisis in Mesir from her entry. You can also read the chronology of the crisis here and the update of the status here.

Let's pray for the safety of the people in Mesir. In fact, one of my cousin studied in one of the university in Mesir. I pray and hope that she will be tough and have a safe journey back to Malaysia. Amin.

Should I buy a new stroller or buggy for a 20 months toddler?

My little girl Rara is an active girl. She can sit still for a short time only. When we touring the mall in weekend she will be running here and there anxiously. So, either one of us have to keep an eye on her and follow where ever she want to go.

She can sit in a stroller but it is also depends on our luck. Sometimes she can be very stubborn (most of the time with Papa Ril) and refuse to sit in it. *sigh*

I want to buy a new ride for her. A light and easy to carry stroller. Currently, we have one stroller but it is quite heavy and bulky. Do you think it is too late to buy another one for her?

I was in Toys R Us the other day and I saw a flowery pink & green Cosco Umbrella Stroller. It is only for RM129.90 and it is cute! I really want to buy it but Papa Ril do not approve it. He says that it is not that light and it is fragile. *sigh again* But it is cute! (Ok, maybe I don't really think straight here and blinded by the outer look *grin*)

Isn't it pretty? Ok, maybe the picture don't do justice to the actual look of the stroller. But hey, Rara love it too. You can see that she's voluntarily pose for me, which is seldom happens.

So, should I buy Rara a new ride? Yes? No?
